DoubleDesktop 2.0 is a useful system utility which doubles the width of your Windows desktop. After being installed it operates in tray and provides you with “left” and “right” parts of the desktop. If you use many applications at the same time or want to divide them into two groups just allocate them between two desktop parts. It really makes work easier. Program has small icon in tray that shows which part of the desktop you are using at the moment. For switching between “left” and “right” parts of the desktop you can just click on this icon or use special hot key combination. Also you can transfer a window from the one virtual screen to another by trailing it beyond the right or left screen borders. Then, switch the desktop and keep trailing until the window is completely on the desktop. DoubleDesktop 2.0 has options dialog which doesn’t have a lot of settings, but you can choose different wallpaper and desktop icons' title colors for both screens. Program doesn’t need a lot of system resources and is very easy to use. At any moment you can exit DoubleDesktop 2.0 and you will get your main Windows desktop with all running applications. |
